Zimbabwe Tourism | Government reduces costs to lure visitors

HARARE - Tourism contributes significant amounts to any country's GDP, and Zimbabwe is no different.

Zimbabwe's political problems and economic meltdown have overshadowed its natural beauty.

It is home to the world's largest waterfall, the Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the Hwange National Park.

Now it will be a lot cheaper to visit.

The Zimbabwean government is significantly reducing high tourism fees, and may even scrap some altogether.

The levies had turned the country into one of the most expensive tourist destinations in SADC.
