Motorists hit hard as petrol, diesel prices shoot up

JOHANNESBURG - South African motorists are in for another steep fuel price increase from Wednesday.

Petrol 93 goes up by R3.12 a litre, while 95 petrol shoots up by R3.33.

Diesel to increase by between R2.84 and R3.24 per litre.

The 0.05 percent sulphur grade increases by R2.84 a litre, while 0.005 percent diesel rises by R3.24.

Paraffin prices are going up too, with the wholesale price increasing by R3.58 a litre.

The increases are being driven mainly by higher international oil and petroleum product prices.
