BETHLEHEM - Small businesses must comply with all government requirements to qualify for support, and, crucially, to help root out undocumented foreign nationals running unregistered businesses.
That’s the advice from Free State Economic Development MEC, Ketso Makume.
He spoke in Bethlehem during the handover of business equipment to 119 beneficiaries of the Department of Small Business Development.
Informal traders, small business owners, and other beneficiaries say this is much-needed relief after years of struggle.
Makume says compliance by small and medium businesses will help address the country’s ongoing problem of undocumented foreign nationals.
Makume warned recipients against selling the business tools they've received to help grow their businesses.
