JOHANNESBURG - The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has announced the recall of all Nissan Qashqai, Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Lexus LX600.
The NCC says the recall affects 945 vehicles with faults that could pose serious safety risks.
Nissan is recalling 314 Qashqai SUVs over a faulty fuel pipe that could wear over time and potentially cause a fuel leak.
The affected vehicles were sold between 4 May 2021 and 17 September 2024.
Toyota is recalling 507 Land Cruiser 300s while Lexus is recalling 124 LX600s.
The NCC says manufacturing debris inside the engine could lead to engine failure or an unexpected stall while driving increasing the risk of a crash.
The affected Land Cruiser 300s and Lexus LX600s were sold between December 2022 and May 2024.
