JOHANNESBURG - Motorists are in for a significant relief at the pumps, with fuel price adjustments expected to kick in at midnight on Wednesday, 1 July.
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has announced that 93-octane petrol is expected to drop by R2.01 cents, while 95-octane will drop by R1.96 cents per litre.
Diesel prices will also see a significant drop, costing between R3.14 and R3.59 cents less per litre.
The department said the decrease is a result of lower international crude oil prices, and other market factors, including the steady rand.
Brent crude oil price has fallen to pre-war levels and is trading below $100.
