JOHANNESBURG - FNB says it has paid out just over R1-billion to Ithala customers within 29 days of the process.
The bank's disbursements went live in December, nearly half of the total funds earmarked for disbursement.
The bank’s CEO, Harry Kellan, says reaching the milestone so quickly reflects a focused effort to restore customer access to funds in a secure and dignified manner.
Payouts are being made in phases, with customers notified by SMS when to visit a branch.
FNB is urging customers to wait for their official notification to ensure an orderly and efficient process.
