JOHANNESBURG - Motorists could see even bigger fuel price cuts in July as over-recoveries continue to strengthen.
Petrol is showing an over-recovery of around R2.80 per litre, while diesel is higher at between R4.50 and R4.90.
This is largely driven by lower global oil prices, now around $80 a barrel, following improved sentiment after a US-Iran peace deal.
However, the end of government's fuel levy relief will offset part of the gains, adding back R1.50 per litre to petrol and nearly R2 to diesel.
