JOHANNESBURG - Fuel surcharge concerns are intensifying across South Africa, as the industry warns of a serious under-recovery in fuel costs.
Some fuel suppliers said the current pricing system does not fully cover rising import and supply expenses, forcing them to introduce additional surcharges.
In some cases, customers are already paying between two and four rand extra per litre, eroding recent government relief measures.
