Government says national fuel supply stable

JOHANNESBURG - The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources says the national fuel supply is stable for now.

The reassurance comes amid growing volatility in global energy markets, fuelled by the Middle East conflict.

Government said it is working to secure both crude oil and refined petroleum products.

It said fuel consignments for March and early April were secured before the war, and deliveries are expected in the weeks ahead.

Authorities also say they are also working to strengthen the country’s energy security.
