The headline consumer price index rose 3.3 percent year‑on‑year, down from 3.5 percent in July.
Month‑on‑month, prices edged down by 0.1 percent.

Among food items, meat saw the biggest increase at around 11.3 percent, while vegetables rose close to 9.3 percent.
Transport prices, however, eased, decreasing 1.4 percent year‑on‑year, with fuel down sharply.
