JOHANNESBURG - Inflation, or the rate at which prices are rising, has eased in South Africa.
But for meat lovers, times are tough.
Prices have risen almost 12 percent in the last year.
That's the biggest increase in seven years.
Stewing beef rose by more than 32 percent, beaten only by beetroot.
Chicken prices also went up by 5 percent year-on-year in September.
It's a bitter taste for coffee lovers, with prices up more than 12 percent.
And ahead of Halloween, pumpkin prices are up by nearly 18 percent.
There is some relief in terms of white rice, potatoes and milk.
Egg prices have dropped 8 percent over the last year.
