KZN's Gledhow Sugar Mill to be reopened

DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal economy is tasting a little sweeter this week.

The Gledhow Sugar Mill is being reopened and will save around 400 jobs.

The reopening follows a successful business rescue process that began in 2023.

It was possible through an almost R2-billion investment from the new owners.

It builds on collaboration between government, business, and labour to stabilise and transform the sector.
