JOHANNESBURG - Santa is set to disappoint motorists this December with no fuel price relief expected.
According to the latest data from the Central Energy Fund, the petrol price will rise by between 20 and 25 cents per litre.
Diesel, meanwhile, could surge higher due to a 93 cents per litre under-recovery heading into the festive season.
Despite a stronger rand, rising global fuel prices are undercutting the benefits at the pump.
The increases could hit consumers hard at a time when many households are already battling.
Motorists are advised to factor higher fuel costs into their travel plans.
