JOHANNSBURG - The Public Investment Corporation (PIC) has suspended its CEO and Chief Investment Officer.
Patrick Dlamini and August van Heerden were suspended after a June whistleblower report accused the former of acting unethically.

The decision comes two weeks after Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana intervened in the corporation.
It was agreed that the allegations would first be investigated by the PIC's internal audit.
The board says the suspension is intended to give Dlamini an opportunity to respond to the allegations while the investigation is under way.
Meanwhile, Leon Smit has been appointed Acting CEO.
