JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court is set to hear arguments in the high-stakes rand-manipulation case involving local and international banks.
The Competition Commission wants the apex court to overturn a ruling that cleared most respondent banks of collusion.

It accuses them of conspiring to rig the rand-dollar exchange rate through secret information-sharing on messaging platforms.
Standard Bank, FirstRand, and Nedbank deny any wrongdoing.
They argue the allegations have already cost them heavily in both money and reputation.
