JOHANNESBURG - The rush for two-pot withdrawals shows that South African consumers are still under pressure.
Financial Service Provider Sanlam says there were no less than 60,000 applications made for withdrawals on the first day of the new financial year in March.

Sanlam released its financial results for 2025 earlier.
It said consumers still value insurance and other protections for their financial future. It also found South Africa has one of the highest insurance penetrations in the world.
But its Chief Financial Officer says many are feeling the strain.
