JOHANNESBURG - The National Consumer Commission has announced a recall of 374 Volkswagen Amarok vehicles made between January and June 2025.
Volkswagen South Africa states that a fault in the brake servo control unit could cause drivers to lose braking assistance, making it more difficult to stop and increasing braking distances.

While the brakes still function, drivers will need to apply extra force.
It's urging owners are urged to visit any authorised VW dealership immediately for a free safety check and repair.
The National Consumer Commission says its closely monitoring the situation.
