DISCUSSION | Increased minimum wage and the impacts on farmers

JOHANNESBURG - The increased minimum wage kicks in on Friday.

However, farmers' union TLU is worried about the effects on its members, saying many of the farmers will not cope.

The union's also asking for a minimum education, to go with this new minimum wage.

From the first of March, workers must be paid a minimum of R27,58 an hour.

eNCA spoke to Bennie van Zyl, General Manager of TLU for more details.
