Impala Platinum results | PGM prices boost earnings

JOHANNESBURG - Impala Platinum reported a strong rebound in annual earnings, supported by higher metal prices, increased sales, and solid operational performance.

Revenue jumped 58 percent to R135-billion, while headline earnings surged to nearly R23-billion.

The group generated strong cash flows and ended the year with a robust balance sheet, allowing it to increase shareholder payouts.

Implats declared total dividends of R18.55 per share for the year, returning a large portion of cash generated to investors.

The miner remains positive on the outlook for platinum group metals, supported by strong demand and tight supply.

Implats says it enters the new financial year from a strong position and remains focused on delivering sustainable value.
