African Mining Indaba kicks off digging deep for investment in Africa

JOHANNESBURG - The Investing in African mining indaba 2024 kicks off on Monday in Cape Town.

It will look at how to attract investments to the mineral rich continent.

However, the gathering comes at a time when mine safety is in the spotlight.

Accidents have claimed several artisanal miners lives on the continent.

Recently, in South Africa 11 regular miners were killed and 75 others injured at the Impala Platinum mine.
