AGOA | Trade and Industry minister discusses implications of AGOA

JOHANNESBURG - Trade, Industry and Competition Minister, Parks Tau, have been in the United States pleading the case for South Africa’s continued inclusion in AGOA and he’s back in the country with positive news.

The African Growth and Opportunity Act is American legislation that gives certain African countries preferential access to US markets with few or no tariffs to export there.

It’s the reason why many global carmakers have based their operations in South Africa.

Therefore it’s seen as crucial to investment.
