Airports Company South Africa back flying high

JOHANNESBURG - Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is benefiting from increased travel demand.

The state-owned airport operator, ACSA, which runs nine airports across the country, is showing solid growth.

It's reporting stronger annual earnings as passenger numbers continue to rise.

Growth in both its aviation and commercial businesses has helped lift performance.

Its revenue increased by 11.6% to R8.78 billion.

Passenger numbers are seeing a significant recovery, falling just 2% shy of pre-COVID levels.

However, the one thorn in the side of ACSA's success is jet fuel and labour costs.

These inputs have doubled over the last year.
