Anglo American Platinum profits take a dive

JOHANNESBURG - Weaker metal prices and power cuts have seen interim profits by Anglo American Platinum plunge by almost R19-billion.

But CEO Natascha Viljoen, the outgoing CEO of Amplats, says the rhodium and palladium markets are getting back into balance.

Amplats released results for the six months ending June, on Monday.

The mining giant slashed its interim dividend from R81-per-share to R12.
