Auditor-General fires HR head for misconduct

JOHANNESBURG - Auditor-General, Tsakani Maluleke, has fired HR head, Mlungisi Mabaso with immediate effect.

A disciplinary hearing found him guilty of gross misconduct and dishonesty.

Mabaso had threatened the AG and said he will harm her.

He also made eight allegations against her in an attempt to extort what he called a 'separation package'.

It also emerged during the disciplinary process that he lied about where he was previously employed.
