NEW YORK - Toymaker Mattel's sales lifted by 16 percent in the July to September quarter, compared to the same quarter the previous year.
This is mainly due to the success of the Barbie movie.

The movie is the top grossing film of the year so far, earning more than $1.4-billion in ticket sales globally.
The firm however kept its forecast for Christmas sales intact, citing the limits of the Barbie boost and economic challenges hampering spending.
