Black Friday | Bargain hunting pays off for some shoppers

CAPE TOWN - Black Friday is no longer look like the crowd-filled, in-person mayhem it was just a few years ago.

This is in large part due to rising dependence on online shopping accelerated by Covid-19.

In Cape Town, customers took advantage of sales on basic necessities.

Consumers expressed relief as they say they've been able to at least get some of their favorite items at bargain prices.

Some say they would have appreciated more deals. 

Retail stores say their deals will continue until next Tuesday.
