Boxer warns war is starting to put pressure on prices

JOHANNESBURG - Discount retailer Boxer says food price increases are probably unavoidable.

Boxer was the best performer on the stock market on Monday after releasing strong results for the year that ended in March.

The company plans to open many new stores, but the Middle East war is adding some pressure.

CEO Marek Masojada said consumers were benefiting from price deflation in many categories such as food.
