Bus Strike | Unions may consider 7% proposal

JOHANNESBURG - Bus commuters can breathe a sigh of relief, as Satawu's planned Bus strike has been postponed.

Unions are going to the negotiating table.

Workers threatened to shut down the sector this Easter weekend.

They are demanding an 8 percent wage increase across the board but the mediator has tabled a 7 percent increment.

SATAWU spokesperson Amanda Tshemese says the union body might consider this proposal.
