Citrus export forecast cut after floods and Middle East conflict

JOHANNESBURG - The Citrus Growers' Association of Southern Africa has revised its total export estimate downward for 2026.

This follows a meeting with various industry players.

The original estimate before the start of the season was 209.4 million 15kg cartons.

That number has now been revised down to 205.3 million cartons.

The association blames the drop on the floods in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape, as well as the impact of the Middle East War.
