Credit insurance | Ensure you are not over-insured, over-paying

JOHANNESBURG - It's up to you to ensure you're not over-insured or over-paying for insurance.

That's the word from Mishaya Chettiar, executive head of Everything Insure.

Any credit a consumer takes out requires credit life insurance, so the provider can recuperate debt.

But, this does add to the expense of borrowing in already tough times.

Chettiar says consumers should do research and not simply accept the insurance provided by the provider.
