Darker days predicted for the workforce as rolling power cuts threaten jobs

JOHANNESBURG - More South Africans are expected to lose their jobs as the country further rappels down into darkness.

Blackouts continue to batter the economy, risking the incomes of many in the country.

This past weekend, Eskom implemented stage 6 of loadshedding which saw most areas having 2-hour intervals between blackouts per day.

This meant some areas had to spend ten hours or more without electricity in total a day.

Mattew Parks from worker's union Cosatu says already people have lost jobs and some have been issued letters looming dismal as blackouts continue throughout the country.
