Discussion | Steady increase of first-time buyers in January

CAPE TOWN - January saw a steady intake of first-time home buyers.

That's according to data collected by Ooba Home Loans.

Favourable market conditions seem to be supporting this growth. First-time purchasers are getting older, with the average age around 36.

Sandra Gordon from Ooba Home Loans said, "The biggest change we are seeing is when people are buying with somebody else, it is less often buying with a spouse."
