JOHANNESBURG - Schools across South Africa are on the brink of a significant financial shake-up.
The government is planning to remove them from the VAT system.

According to the recently released Draft Taxation Laws Amendment Bill, released for public comment last week, all schools will be required to deregister as VAT vendors.
While the changes impact every school, the amendment specifically highlights private schools, as being directly affected.
