JOHANNESBURG - The South African economy is struggling to pick up.
That's according to the latest BankservAfrica Economic Transaction Index for February.
The index declined on a monthly basis and is now at the same level as a year ago.
Independent economist Elize Kruger says the index reflects the impact of multiple economic challenges, including persistent power cuts, the crippling logistics crisis and rising fuel prices.
