JOHANNESBURG - Famous Brands says it's tried to mitigate against high food prices, but this is becoming harder to do.
It comes as inflation data has confirmed that meat prices have risen by nearly 12 percent over the last year.
Beef steak has risen by 29 percent.
CEO of Famous Brands, Darren Hele, reported that the company's half-year profit rose by 6 percent.
