JOHANNESBURG - The price of fuel increases from Wednesday, 1 January.
This increase will be the third increase since October - and the third hike in three consecutive months.
Prices will be go up by 12 and 19 cents per litre for 93 and 95 petrol, respectively, and between 7.5 cents and 10.5-cents per litre for diesel.
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy attributes the fuel price increases to the rand depreciating against the dollar and a rise in the international product price for petrol.
Economic Advisor to the Optimum Investment Group, Roelof Botha discussed this with eNCA.
