Fuel prices | Steep hike expected

JOHANNESBURG - With just one week left until March's fuel prices are implemented, prepare yourself for a steep increase that’s sure to leave your wallets lighter.

According to Central Energy Fund's fuel recoveries, motorists could expect fuel increases of more than R1 per litre for both petrol and diesel.

Potential factors contributing to this increase are driven by higher international oil prices, while the Rand-Dollar exchange rate also weakened.

Last year around this time, motorists also had to brace themselves for a steep increase of more than a Rand for a litre of petrol.
