JOHANNESBURG - Cyber criminals have allegedly hacked two of the country’s largest consumer credit reporting agencies, TransUnion and Experian - again.
In a statement, TransUnion South Africa has confirmed that they are aware of a ransom demand.
But insist they have found no evidence that their systems have been illegally accessed.
The hackers, Brazil-based N4ughtySecTU Group, are demanding $30 million from both TransUnion and Experian - which is around R570 million.
eNCA has also reached out to Experian for comment.
