JOHANNESBURG - Cyber criminals are using more and more sophisticated software to target South African consumers.
Cybersecurity company Kaspersky has recorded a surge in the use of infostealers, ransomware, and targeted phishing attacks.
Kaspersky lead security researcher, Maher Yamout, said cybercriminals rely on tricking individuals at large.
He said they are infiltrating known app stores and installing these on operating systems.
