JOHANNESBURG - Don’t expect the Reserve Bank to end its interest rate hiking cycle soon.
Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago said in a university lecture that the bank has not reached the end of its policy rate space.
Kganyago stressed that the bank’s role in taming price rises is strongly linked to growing the economy and creating jobs.
Higher inflation supports the case for the bank to raise interest rates.
