JOHANNESBURG - A recent index by the Bureau for Economic Research released by Absa shows an improvement in manufacturing activity for August.
Following a slow start to the third quarter of this year, a decrease in August rolling blackouts saw large growth compared to July.

July had approximately 22 days of power cuts while August had just under seven.
The manufacturing industry accounts for around 13-percent of GDP and is critical to the country's growth.
