Mining symposium | Symposium seeks to support miners
JOHANNESBURG - A symposium this month will concentrate on small-scale and emerging miners.
It's being held by mineral research organisation, Mintek and will delve into the significance of small-scale mining in supporting individuals from mining communities.
Also on the agenda is ensuring such mining is sustainable, its economic contribution through taxes and royalties, job creation and the eradication of illegal operations.
Mintek Executive of Mining and Minerals Economics, Nozuko Mani discussed this with eNCA.
