National Shutdown | Plans in place to ensure passenger safety - ACSA
EKURHULENI - Airports Company South Africa says it won't stop people from protesting at the airport, but it has made plans to ensure passenger safety should violence break out.
ACSA CEO Mpumi Mpofu said, "we have passengers that are traveling, arriving completely unaware. We have clear arrangements for where protests happen and will be guiding protesters there."
"We are expected to prevent unlawful interaction with passenger movement and interference. Our ACSA staff has planned. This is a busy hub and requires pre planning when operations are going to be different and therefore thats why the planning was critical for us to try and manage the situation peacefully."
