JOHANNESBURG - Global oil prices climbed to an almost three-week high.
This can be attributed to the US winter storm and China's announcement it will end quarantine travel rules.
Brent Crude went up by 88 cents and is now trading at $84.08 a barrel.
The greenback also softened following China's relaxed Covid-19 restrictions.
A weaker dollar makes oil cheaper for other currencies.
It also signifies a greater investor appetite for risk.
