Transport and fuel price rises eased in August bringing inflation down to 7.6-percent from 7.8-percent.
A higher inflation outlook supports the case for the Reserve Bank to hike rates.
The bank is largely expected to hike rates by three-quarters of a percent on Thursday to fight high inflation which remains significantly above it’s 3.5 to 6-percent target band.
