JOHANNESBURG - There are calls for government to re-examine the implementation of the RICA Act.
According to Alex Evan of Securitech, poor enforcement opens the door to fraud and enables criminal syndicates.
He said there is no coordination among government departments and agencies.
"The problem is sort of endemic. We've got the basis of very good laws, but poor implementations. Rica sits under different departments. All of those entities have to sit and talk at one table and reach a consensus about it," he said.
