Russia faces fuel shortages after weeks of strikes

MOSCOW - Russian-installed authorities in Crimea have suspended fuel sales to the public.

It comes after shortages triggered by Ukraine's sustained military strikes targeting Russian supply routes.

Officials say petrol will now be reserved only for government agencies responsible for security.

It follows a Ukrainian drone strike on an oil depot in Kerch that killed four and injured dozens more.

The move underscores mounting pressure on Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014, as both sides intensify strikes on energy and logistics infrastructure in a bid to weaken war efforts.
