SA economy | Growth slow amid inflation concerns

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa’s growth prospects remain modest, with GDP expected to grow just 0.9% this year, and only gradually improving in the years ahead. 

While the global outlook is slightly more upbeat, and commodity prices have offered some support, inflation pressures and policy uncertainty remain serious headwinds.

With the Reserve Bank's new 3% inflation target and political dynamics adding to the complexity, the big question is: can South Africa sustain reform and avoid stagnation?
