Sasol beats key FY2026 operational targets, lifts outlook

JOHANNESBURG - Sasol beats its key operation target for the 2026 financial year.

The energy and chemicals group says it exceeded guidance across its major production and sales metrics.

A stronger fourth quarter and improved operational performance drive the results.

Secunda records its highest annual production in five years, supported by improved gas availability, stable operations and the successful rollout of its destoning project.

Liquid fuels sales increase compared to last year, but demand weighs down by fuel price volatility and higher fuel imports.

Looking ahead, Sasol says it expects its full-year financial results to meet or exceed market guidance.

However, it warns that geopolitical tensions and volatile market conditions are likely to keep the operating environment challenging.

Full-year results are due in September.
