SONA 2024 | IRR calls for VAT cut, reduced levies

JOHANNESBURG - Cutting VAT from 15 percent to 11.5 percent, reducing the fuel levy, and ending preferential procurement is on the Institute of Race Relations SONA wishlist.

It says the cost of living is reaching crisis levels and people need a break.

The organisation is also proposing that the Finance Minister cuts taxes to stimulate growth.
